Get your kids excited for Easter and make these fun bunny pancakes.
Easter is a celebration of Jesus' resurrection, not bunnies. However, bunnies often have large litters and so are thought to be a symbol of new life. We celebrate the new life that he gives us because he died for us.
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” -2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.” -Romans 6:5 (NIV)
How To Make:
Step 1: Preheat your pan on medium low heat.
Step 2: Reuse a plastic container with a small hole in it such as a ketchup bottle or syrup bottle. You can eve poke a hole in a water bottle and use it.
Step 3: Make your usual pancake batter watered down slightly more liquid than normal.
Step 4: Separate out a small amount of batter and dye it pink using food coloring.
Step 5: Fill your container with the normal batter. I used a small cup for the pink batter.
Step 6: Draw your shapes. Oval head with ears on top. Leave a small hole for the nose and holes for the ears.
Step 7: Fill the empty spot with your pink batter.
Step 8: Drag the wet batter with a fork to form the mouth.
Step 9: Add blueberries for the eyes.
Step 10: Enjoy!
