Salt Painting

Writer's picture: Hyde ParkHyde Park

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

What you'll need:

  1. Salt

  2. Watercolors

  3. Paper

  4. Glue

  5. Paint brush

  6. Cup of water

To start this craft you'll grab a piece of paper and your glue. Draw out a picture with the glue, I drew a flower.

Once you have your image drawn out how you like it, grab the salt and make sure to cover the glue completely with it.

Let the salt sit on the glue for a few minutes before pouring the excess off into another container.

Now that your picture is covered in the salt, grab your watercolors and a cup of water. Dip your paint brush into the watercolors and dab it onto the salt lightly, the more watered down your paints are the better this will work.

Don't just draw picture with the glue, try writing your name!

While you watch your kids make this craft, reminded them who Jesus is. Tell them all about how everything is popsicle with Him.
